Latest Idea: Paper and Plastic: The Family Grocery Experience
I have been taken a hiatus from my ideas recently, because I've been experiencing a creatively block. This morning, when I heard the words paper or plastic, when talking about grocery stores, I was striken by my latest idea, effectively ending my streak of uncreativety. The idea started off as a bag that combines paper and plastic. The top has a paper handle, to maximize the strength of the bag. The bottom, trashbag like plastic bag at the bottom, which is big enough to hold 20-30 pounds of groceries, maximizes efficency and bagging. Then I thought, why stop at a decent bag idea, when I can turn it into a franchise? So I got to thinking during 1st and 3rd block today, and came up with the schematics of the future of the grocery store.
The Paper and Plastic: The Family Grocery Experience Step-By-Step How It Works
go to the paper and plastic website
book a starting time for your shopping trip
type up a list of items (computer makes a route for you to follow) (can be saved for future trips)
print out your customized route sheet
park your car in level 1
walk over to the waiting room, shop at the stores at each end of the parking lot
wait to start shopping
get in the conveyor cart (which features 4 chairs with 2 tables, an HD tv, 2 shopping carts, and a small kids zone)
ride around and start grabbing groceries at each of the 45, 60 second stops (sit and rest and alternate who gets the groceries at each stop if you want)
order food if you so please (waiters will walk up walkways to your conveyor cart and deliever food, which you order from your cart)
with 8 or so stops to go, the valet (who collected your parking receit earlier), will get your car and bring it to the loading zone)
check out (the money charge will be processed on the credit card of your membership online)
ride down 1 level on the conveyor belt, to the loading zones
help load your bags if you so please (otherwise, a bag boy will do it for you)
drive away
(lasts about 50 minutes)
Response to earlier criticism
Some say it would be too lazy for shoppers. However, I think it's fun and convient. It has and HD TV, and a dinner serving, which makes it fun and easy. Also, you have to walk across the walkway, and back to your seat, which is only about 20% less than normal walking. It's also designed for a family atmosphere, and makes it easy to watch over your kids who can sit down while you shop.
