Another Doomsday Gone Wrong

05/21/2011 21:41

89 Year old Harold Camping, a multi-millionare evangelist, who owns 66 radio stations in the U.S alone, predicted that the world would end today, May 21, 2011, at 6 P.M.  Est.  Sorry Harold, you're day of fame came to a end, or rather not an end, the world is still here.  He had millions of followers who are all now crying over the living on of the world.

I was excited to get to live through my first doomsday prediction, because as a nerd, this is what I live for.  Today was like a glimse at Nerdvana, a place that will be better seen on December 21, 2012.  I awaited 6 P.M, preparing to see what would happen, asking my dad to change the channel from the Preakness to the news, to see if anything was happening.  You could see that I was disappointed to know that nothing happened that would cause change at all in the world.  Today was like a prepartion for the grande fiesta, December 21, 2012.

May 21, 2012 did not mark the end of the world.  We'll all have to wait another 579 more days tell we're all at it again.  December 21, 2012 is soon approaching.  Long live the humans!
